No, turns out the vvc engines a 143 mems2, so a bit more complicated... The old engine, i done the head gasket on it twice, and it kept going, i had the head skimmed, but it kept chicking steam out, an i could watch the coolant level go down quite rapidly, as well as there being emissions in the header tank, dunno whats wrong with it, just weigh it in for scrap, and sell the head, need to get some money back from it, lol.

Mmm, still having trouble with it, it runs, pretty sweet, but cuts out after about 2 seconds, ive got the fuel pump temporarily wired into switched constant, so its not the pump, and its still sparking when it cuts out, which means the injectors are having their power cut, any wise people got any ideas?

have you got the 5as and fob from the car you got the engine from or more specifically the car the ecu came from?

Yep, got the matching 5as, box and ecu from the same car the engine wiring loom came from, engine came from a different car, but the numbers pretty much matched up and all the sensors looked the same.

Which mems control box are you using? Same for the engine?
Engine is irrelavant really as long as its the right sort of ecu

By control box, do you mean the relay box for the fuelpump, startermotor, etc?
