Yep, took 12 thou off it, and if my calculations are right, it should be 11:1 c/r, so should give it a bit more torque.

Head back on and builtup, looking a bit less mayoe, lol!

Nope, still steaming, and with lots of hydrocarbons in the header tank >_< so looks like another engine now then >_<

It could be anything, cracked head, naff block face, cracked block, i think my best option is going to be to stop messing around, bite the bullet and drop another engine in.

should have got the head pressure tested before going to the effort of skimming but its done now.

So, havent bothered doing anything to this, as i bought another car to use, lol. naff engine should be coming out at the weekend, ready for a clean up of the engine bay, then the vvc160 engine can be dropped in, im going to fit new timing belts on it first though, and put a new clutch in whilst its out, then ill be able to use it :D

They never did a VVC ZS. Did they??
Just a 1.8, the V6 and a diesel??
