Looking awesome. Have you got any pics of how you have attached your fog and reverse lamps? I have purchased some off jb fabrications and when I went to fit them after drilling the hole and bolting it in place, the bumper hits it.
Also have you fitted the bracket on the top or bottom of the rear lip?
Not the best photo, I've got mine mounted underneath with 2 bolts.

With the problem with the gearbox I thought I'd try and get my hands on an another gearbox to strip apart and put back together to see how to do it (or what not to do) I managed to find someone local selling some locally for £25 each, so obviously bought 2 . So this weekend I stopped them down. It was a pretty simple task really with the help of a mini magazine guide. To get the first motion shaft out you ideally need a slide hammer, which we have but attaching the 2 together was a problem, the thread is really fine so had nothing apart from the nut that was on it. Luckily I was given a Starter bendix spring compressor (below pic) a while back which happened to be all the right dimensions
With the help of a top arm washer I got this and pulled it out easily .
Block of wood screwed to the work bench to stop it moving when undoing the nuts.
as you can probably tell they were left outside for quite a while, but they were upside down so the gears didn't rust.
Ones fully apart, the other I need to make a tool to remove the main double bearing.
We then cleaned the garage and started on stripping the 1293 down to get it onto the engine stand again.
And went to a local car show last weekend.

, Tell me about it , Got so much to do this winter, And now added to the list is painting the bulkhead cross member as the clutch reservoir spilled and I didn't notice quick enough oh well.
Ooo finally get to see the k-series. Track time? Race?

Machined myself a third motion shaft bearing remover during the week.
Split the gearbox from the block and started stripping it
can you spot the problem?
So a cracked bulk ring with a chunk missing was the cause of 4th to 3rd gear crunching.
I had a 3.44 diff fitted but am now undecided on what to do, 3.44, 3.21 or 3.1?

Not really an update as such but everybody like minispares orders
Got myself a cross pin diff, new bearings, bulk rings and other random bits.
And made myself a spare wheel tool holder.

I've been looking for something to tidy up my boot for carrying oil, coolant etc. After a bit of searching on ebay I found an old 'trunk' that would just fit hight wise. And this is what I got, perfect, fits in and plenty of of room for stuff, No need to change anything...
Maybe a little too big?
Yep, A little bit big, so a bit of measuring and I came up with a final size. Seems like a simple job But with most of the ideas I find myself coming up with it not. First remove the split rivets from the corner finishers, handle, hinges and latches. Out come the tin snips and then needle and thread as it's sticked together at the sides. You can see how much I've cut off in the right of the below photo.
I chopped it up so dad should stitch it together right . He stitched the main part and I stitched the lid back together and drilled and fixed on the latches, finishers etc. I had to put stickers on the top as the old hole for the handle was still showing.
Much better

Cheers, It's pretty close height wise to not fitting . Much better than having a plastic box etc, keeps it more retro looking.
