This is my 1982 HLE Which I have owned since February 2010. So far me and my dad have rebuilt the driver side front, we have replaced the A panel, doorstep, jacking point, scuttle and flitch and have repaired the wing, bonnet, cross member, floor and lots of others. The other week we removed the rear subframe to reveal more rust which is what we are repairing at the moment. I will post updates as we make progress

First picture is how I got it .
2nd front wing removed.
3rd rust!
4th door step removed.
5th flitch welded in.
6th replacment door put on.
7th testing wing Apanel and door.
8th and 9th bonnet repairs.
10th old doors.
11th A panel and wing welded in .

12th heel board rust.
13th rear bin.
14th more rust .

This weekends work Made a few repair panels and welded one in.


Last weekend we Removed the rust from the bottom of the boot and made a repair panel.

And kurusted.

An update
Welded in the repair panel for the rear bin.



Made a repair panel for the heelboard ready for welding in tomorrow.



I also got a pretty much rust free bootlid, A mk1 with a double skin, badges, number plate flap and light for just £30.00

Today we Welded in the repair panel for the Heelboard, made a repair panel to fit in the hole in the seat and also made some panel grips.

Today we welded in the repair panel for the seat.

We ground down the weld on the seat repair, We also welded in another repair. work has stopped for the weekend as the welder broke .

Today We started making a repair panel for the wheel arch and also removed the rear valance.
