Hi Bud needle shuolder is flush with bottom of piston and i set jets level with bridge i only wound back the jet 1 and a half turns, tappets are at 8 and 10 exhaust i will reset them tomorrow and check the carbs over again then i will buzz you back cheersThe M needle and red spring where the standard combination for the 1275 'S, so shouldn't be too far away.
How/where have you set the needle, to start of with adjust the jet until it's level with the bridge in the carb, then unscrew 22 flat's (2.5 full turns) don't forget to balance both carbs and report back how she goes.
Also make sure you've checked and adjusted your valve clearances and all are correct.

Set them at 0.015", let the exhausts a bit wider than the inlets.
