Brilliant aus clubby! I love that colour. Does it match the top coat for the upper portions of the car? I'd love for my mini to look that smart on the inside of the arches!
Yes, was very happy with the colour match. The ute bedliner tinted up to a near perfect match to the 2 pack paint.

Absolutely stunning! You must be pleased with it so far. Excellent quality panel work and paint finish. I had a similar finish done to the underside of my first mini and will do the same on my current project too. Interesting to see all the panel combinations they used on the Australian minis, Mk1/2 sides and doors with external hinges, Mk3 rear panel, and clubman front end. Did you say the rear screen is Mk1 size too?
Great project!
That right, the rear window is Mk1 and stayed the same until the end of production. The only thing adopted off the Mk2 UK mini was the rear tail lights.

Then home for the rebuild.
You will notice the small plastic flares that were factory oringinal on the Aust Cooper S and Clubman GT.
Used the 7.5" Cooper S disc brakes with 1"spaced rear drums.
Dash was purchased from Huddersfield Spares UK, along with numerous other bits. A lot of the parts also came from Mini Spares UK and Mini Sport UK.
Then the motor.
More to come Photo Bucket is not working again.

That floor is deffinately interesting, It looked like it had been replaced with a late floor at first, with the tunnels for the plumbing... then you show the pictures of the tube protectors, that is very cool! Then there are even more interesting features like the wiper holes are recessed in the scuttle, I see rather large strengthening ribs in the spare tire well. Aus minis are deffinately unique
Chris
The floor is deffinately an original 1973 item. Now those wiper thingys did cause a minor problem. I didn't realise the UK mini was different when I ordered them. The Aust set up is with black rubber blocks and I liked the chrome, so when they arrived I had to re-shape the chrome thingy to get the right angle.

In the photo of the new headlining, the seats and trim are the untouch originals.
The wheels and tyres are Mamba 10x6's with Falken's purchased from Midlands Wheels.
.
Well, thats about where I'm up to now purchased the car on the 3 November 2010 and now just under 12 months later I'm about 2 weeks off registration.
