Some nice Minis there. I'm not keen on the revival though, lots of stuck up stuffy ******* that think they're better than you.

Totally disagree about the Revival. Unmissable event IMHO. Knowledgeable, well mannered and well turned out crowd and so much going on. I'll be there tomorrow

Fabulous photos, thanks for posting those.
I believe my friend Whizzo Williams won a race in a Mini - he's the same age as me! There is life in the old dogs yet ;D

Yeah the 60's wouldn't have been the 60's without some stuck up tweedies to rebel against :P

The broken disc is probably a symptom rather than the cause - it'd have been holding the wheel on single handed if the hubnut went AWOL.

I had that happen on a rally when the split pin holding the hub nut sheared. The hub nut came loose and when the brakes were applied the pads tried to pull the disc vertical causing a shear failure around the hub as you see in the photo.

'Evergreen septuagenarian' Barrie’Whizzo’ Williams was fastest in Friday qualifying driving one of the fearsome rumbling American Ford Galaxie 500's, ahead of former BTCC star Paul Radisich’s similar Galaxie, while not that far behind considering the dry track conditions was the white Cooper S Swiftune Mini seen in the photos above, perhaps a rain shower or two will change that position around in favour of the Mini's during the races today and tomorrow.............

Lots of Lambretta scooters there too but difficult to get photos of them with admiring crowds around them..........
