Hi everyone,

I'm from Sydney, Australia. I'm looking at improving my standard 998 engine. I've found a couple of places where I can have work done: Russell Engineering and Mini King (John Smidt). I have heard good things about both.

Who would you recommend? Has anyone had any issues with either places? I'm only looking at road modifications (e.g. stage 1, modified head, maybe better cam if needed). Price comparison?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks everyone :)

Another old school mechanic is Ivan Glasby at Mini Spares and Repairs in Castle Hill. Nice guy, very knowledgeable, former Rhodesian Touring Car champ in a Mini!

Also check out the ausmini.com forum for some suggestions closer to home ;)
