Rover Metro Gti 16V Engine ?

can you put this engine in a mini like you can the other metro engines ?? like the metro 1275 engine ??? HELP

Yes but not in the same way. You need to custom build a subframe to house the K-series as it shares no likeness with the A-series. The wiring will also either need to be spliced or the Metro loom will have to completely replace the Mini loom.

The Metro 998 and 1275 engines are the same A+ units as fitted to the Mini, so installing them is straightforward but also doesn't really offer any difference from standard. The later Metro engines of different sizes are K series units and completely different engines. Fitting them is by no means easy without a reasonable amount of mechanical knowledge and experience, but not impossible.

Have a look on 16vMiniClub website, there will be a K series section on there with loads of people that have done it
