"for a done in my garage at home paint job that looks fantastic!! i noticed you've got rid of the licence plate brackets are you running bumperless too ??"

yes, removed the brackets and changing the indicators to something else, sidelights will be in the main headlights

Was fitting the battery and thought I'd hide it in a box rather than under the seat..... hold on decided not to fit the rear seat. Had the seat and back to match the fronts but were big for the space so decided not to fit them.

plywood front across still leaves a nice stow-a-way for tools

hinged the lid for access, carpet can sit level with the floor

Went to fit the new rubbers for the rear doors. The seals around the outside was made wrong. The V-cut was in the wrong place and the window seal was way too big. Had to argue my point with the seal supplier that his supplier got the measurements wrong. Eventually he agreed, but only after he looked at the rest of his stock.

Where did you get your seals for the back doors, the ones I got for my van make for a bad fit of the doors.

Both sets of seals were on ebay and were from a reputable mini supplier. the V-cut was 2 inches out along the top and that meant the side was 2 inches short. They had ordered 10 sets and I must have been the first to buy them. Supplier wasn't going to change them as I had purchased them a few months earlier and had them on the shelf ready for the time to fit them. But he checked the other stock and they were wrong also. Glass seal was about 1.5 inches too big and needed cut and re-bonded.
I also ended up bonding the seal to the door as the wee clips weren't holding in place

Had a go at tinting the back windows. Thinking it was a good idea to do this before they were put in. However with the window being so tight to get in the fella fitting them ended up distorting the film that I ended up removing it. Decided to get it done professionally nearer the end

well I found these revolution alloys for sale locally for £40, complete with 90% tyres. No wheel bolts. Had been painted with a rattle can, so started to refurb them back to aluminium. Taped off the outer rim as I want this aluminium look

etched, 2k primer and a base colour, all rubbed down, ready for a top coat of black as used on the roof

should have done the lip polishing first, but put it on the car and started to polish the life out of it. Few marks on the lips also to get rid off.
