Me and the wife decided to get some camping a couple of weeks ago. We decided to pitch base camp at Sennen (just outside).

Well impressed with the mini's capability in storing countless amounts of crap and it's ability on most of the hills. This included 2 dogs that were dropped off at Plymouth!

The only problem was on the way back to Aldershot, the mini decided to run out of electricity on the A303. Fortunately I know the road very well. This, however, is great fun at 2300ish and having no lights.

Took 7 hours to do 60 miles on 3 different recovery trucks. All in all 10hrs to do Plymouth to Aldershot.

Anyhoo some pictures. I borrowed my brother in law's camera as I am yet to buy mine, just starting with this photography business.

Base Camp.

Ensuring Sennen remains safe.

The local wildlife. Eventually one manged to steal the wife's Ice Cream in St Ives, oh how I chuckled.

Day 1 and loads of sun, pretty much the last of it for 5 days.

Not sure what would constitute a safe cliff!?

Took some effort to get no one else in this.

Even nature loves a mini.

On the way to Minack Theatre.

A random secluded beach, had to climb down rocks to get there but worth it.

Posted Image

Just trying things, a rock pool.

Posted Image

St Michaels Mount. Next time I'll wait and get some good ones of the causeway.

View from on top of St Michaels Mount.

Just like a mini, still looks good with a hint of rust!

En route to St Ives. The building behind is actually just a sandcastle. :D

Posted Image

Almost there.

Paradise Park, Hayle. Not cheap but the pub on site was good.

Posted Image

Should have gotten the cattle grid covering the road for some perspective. Got some funny looks mind.

At one of the many mines.

Lands End awaiting the fireworks on our last night.

That's 35 of 500+ pics. Got caught up with the sport mode on the camera.

Didn't let the rain detract from a good few days away. On the plus side the tent held up to the wind and rain which is always a Brucie Bonus.

Great photos, love the seagul one haha

Think i'll have to take my mini camping when its back on the road - although at this rate it's looking like that'll be in the middle of winter!

We try and get down there as much as possible. Can't beat a bit of camping in Cornwall with the beach nearby.

Eventually we'll introduce the hounds to it.

I love Sennen - used to go there EVERY year for our holidays... I used to love it as a kid! Absolutely spectacular scenery and sights!!

Great to see you driving through those roads in a Mini! Excellent pics too!

On route to St. Ives did you go the country route through St. Just, Zennor etc? It's an awesome route to go!!

I have no idea what caused it but after 2 days of it sitting there I thought I'd fire her up and have a look and all was working fine. >_<

When I get some time I'll have a look deeper but it's been working fine for 2 weeks now.

That is the very road. Via Lands End Airport (which still do a good breakfast!), it is a great drive. I only came across slower cars once which, fortunately, happened when I decided to stop for some pics.

Very good driving road, some good twists and turns with some great views.

That used to happen to my boyfriend's old Mini! He used to find that running over a large bump on the road would get things working again!
