The front is just a case of removing the number plate and bumper and then locating the spot welds on the bumper lip drilling them out. You'll also need to primer and paint on the area where the spot welds where or you'll end up with rusty spots on your valance.
On the rear ideally you need to remove the boot, bumper, lights and fuel tank. With this done you weld the rear panel to the boot floor from the inside and the rear valance to the boot floor from the underside (a good time to replace your valance and closing panels if they're looking crusty). Once you get this far you can grind/cut off the bumper lip off, fill, sand and paint the area done you're pretty much done. I'd recommend welding 100MM at a time and then letting it cool to save you warping the boot floor and/or valance.

On a side note it's worth measuring to make the the rear panel and valance are level at the base of the bumper lip to save finding a step there when you grind the lip off.

As others have said, the front is easy, just grind the lip off; the back needs reinforcing welding in. As the rear panel, by design, is turned out to spot-weld to the boot floor & valance, it really needs a thin L-section welding inside the boot as well as under the car for the valance - just fit a new valance as they're cheap.
