hi everyone

i know is many sound daft.. but it is important i gues.. i jst flushed the rad and engine and not need to refill with coolant.. how much antifreeze (eg 1 liter) is recommended to put in and how much water..

50/50 mix is a good start.

Cooling sistem is around 3,5 l total
Antifreeze from 30% to 50%
Use distillated water and glycol-ethilene based antifreeze (its kinda blue stuff) because the modern organic-acid based coolants can damage your engine.

how much antifreeze will equal 50%.. is it a 1 liter bottle.. or more/ less

Pour half the bottle into another container and refit with water = 50/50 mix.
Then when you have poured all the mix into the rad pour the leftover antifreeze back into the original bottle and fill with water - 50/50 mix.

Then top up as required. Any you have left over with be the right mix.

Personally, and this is my view, you can never put too much antifreeze in...

Aye, I just dump in a 1liter bottle, or just use that ready mixed coolant stuff if you're refilling.
