Doesn't quite fit :( Maybe I'll mount the tree in the subframe till christmas? It's all about going green these days!

Well;
Subframe is £650, painted it comes out at £680. Then VAT and shipping on top of that.

Shipping was £94.00

Net total - £774
Vat @20.0% - £154.80

Total £928.80!

Going to get them made by Berrisford - possibly. http://www.berrisfor...5srcq477bhu4ck3

Either them, or http://www.driveshaftuk.com/ as rumour has it, their shafts are £70 a pop compared to £160! Just depends if they make custom shafts or not!

Specs for the shafts from the y21 box, to the mini cv joint are 32t to 19t. 287 and 287...

Going to use as much of the original suspension as possible - I haven't seen what fits or what doesn't yet... But the tie bars/lower arms have to be rose jointed I beleive!

The downside to living in the Scottish Highlands! Apparantly, it isn't mainland!

Spent half an hour out in the garage today... Got the subframe fitted up to the shell, and bolted up tight. Just had a fiddle and a few measurements to see how things are going to be connected up, and various other things...

I'll see whats under the christmas tree on Sunday, and maybe have some nice goodies to get a move on with this thread! Really want to just get the shell rolling so I can get the garage tidied, and get some fresh air through the place. Dust everywhere, but cant blow it out because the cars in the way!

Test fitted for now - Will need to come off to allow me to properly paint the lower bulkhead, and to fit the steering rack and a few other bits and bobs! Very happy with how well she fitted!

Ran a die over the old subframe lower mount studs - they were in good condition, nice fresh nuts down there too. Will clean up my tower bolts for the final fitting!

Anyway. Pics!
