I've given up on them to be honest. I only need to pass their test to get a car pass for my camp. So my current is sat in the garage awaiting my return from the UK with her new flip front. I think I might do my future vtech over the German system.

Arches look mega!

Started fitting one of them - Not too happy with the posistioning - I hate being so fussy! It's going to have to come back towards the rear of the car about 1/4"

Ahh that would make sense! Whats the regs with doing one on the german system then bringing it back on base, would it still need tested or just a valid german test?

Wouldn't be a problem as I live out in the German suburbs. So it would be purly German untill I move back over here when I'd import her.

Okay, so cheap arches suck... One fits fine, one has to sit an inch further back to fit... I've bolted them up anyway with a heater on overnight to try and straighten them out slightly!

Not looking too bad!

Now, this back end should be sorted in the next few days - got a sheet of carbon fibre coming to make my boot floor - and I won a single skin CF bootlid on ebay for £18 - result!

Fitted a horn! Just trying to get a few of the little MOT bits out of the way!

Hopefully I will be in the sausageland until 2020 as everything is cheaper for living .. no road tax, tax free fuel ect. And tax free cars, I got my brand new Mondeo estate for £17,400 instead of nearly £24,000 so cant complain.
I need either a promotion or the wife to get a job to counteract the drop in funds when we return anyway.

Have you sorted your front end yet? My revearse hinges arrived today...http://www.superfast...d_hinge_kit.htm... just need the actual front end now, still undecided as to CF or fibre glass and which company.

Ahh right yeah!

Was it you that outbid me on them on ebay? I was bidding on a set of minitec hinges just like them, I was outbid by £1 for £86 or something like that! Sourced a complete front end from a guy on 16v mini forum - away to pick it up next weekend - £190 including headlights, a front end loom, indicators, full set of arches (wont be used) carbon fibre bonnet, the lot! And my spotlight pod should be here tommorow as where I live is Red Deer central! Need the light at night!
