Will go back to my day job this week coming, and I've also sold my trials bike - so I'll have 3k cash to spend on getting this in a VERY nice state. Another day tidying the garage today, and picking up all the spanners I've thrown around in the last week with my mood swings!
Thanks for the support everyone - I promise you some progress with this soon!

It seems you have already and are getting on with things now but the best way to get over someone is to get under..............a mini

Therefore, looking forward to the updates

I'd take a rough guess and say these need a bit of a clean up! And new hoses.

The bastarding allen bolt that decided he didn't want to budge!

Lots of heat and plusgas didnt even get her free! Got all the other bolts out and twisted the two halfs of the caliper in opposite directions - she finally broke free!

Nice tidy work space! :)

As for your tidy workspace - good ethics, nothing wrong with that!

Finished stripping the old calipers - only the one piston needs replaced, theres absoloutely no wear on them atall. The seals will need done, however!

Spent the week waiting for parts though, so haven't made much progress - just spent time on all the little details!
Cleaned up my old goodridge hoses, painted the unions with my Kermit Green touch up paint!

Remember how they used to look?

These switches arrived for me to incorporate into my dashboard build! Ordered a full fibreglass dash off ebay - saves me a lot of time! Something I dont have a lot of atm!

Took my old hubs, left them soaking in Kurust overnight, then sent them in a tumble in a cement mixer full of grit to clean them up - came up a treat!
Before -

Afterwards!

Need to give them a rub down with brake cleaner still, and then give them a lick of etch primer and paint, once I've changed the bearings. They'll come up okay! :)
Now, today. Got a little bored, took my old calipers, and hondafied them a bit!

Bit of a comparison!

Dont worry, I'll be fitting new bleed nipples when I reassemble them! They're not perfect, but they certainly look better than before!
Now, off to service my steering rack, fit my drop bracket, maybe remount my drivers seat, and clean up my pedal box - Then time for a lick of paint on my brake servo. If my new welder tips come tommorow, I'll make my distribution panel up properly, and start the wiring :)
But yes, onto the steering tonight!

You're gonna find it bloody hard to insure yourself on a VTEC mini
Unless you've already done the research and know what you're doing!!
Business policy, hopefully, just like our TT and other vehicles! If not though, I dont mind paying - I used to spend £10k + a year in bikes, spares ect for my trials riding, which I dont do as much anymore. I dont drink, dont smoke, and dont have to pay rent anymore after moving out of the flat and back in with parents after the break up - I dont mind paying whatever it costs to have my pride and joy on the road!
Nope, only 16 mate - 17 on the 31st march! Hint hint! ;) The body is perfectly solid, just need to do my bulkhead box, and get her rolling, and she'll be together in a few weeks. Got all the parts sat here to get the engine running once she's mounted!Didn't realise u didn't have a licence good luck geting it on the road in time if the body is solid then that's half the battle but as I am realising it's allot of work any way good luck

Well guys. Getting there. Ordered the last of the suspension components today. Along with the steel for my bulkhead box, and paint! Happy bunny!
Got my drop bracket fitted, and started making up a plate to mount my ECU too! Fits perfectly behind the old switch panel, underneath the panel on the bottom dash rail! Would fit ontop too, haven't decided how I'm going to mount it yet!
Also - will someone please tell me what brake calipers I have? They seem like nothing available to purchase - everywhere has the 89-2000 cars down as two pot calipers on 8.4 disks. These are 8.4's, but they're alloy four pots? Need pistons, seals, and bolts for them!
