Moving along Andrew. I see you are saying that your front end will be on Thursday and Friday - that's amazing. I am doing mine at the moment and think will take a couple of weeks to get lined up!!! Andrew - no update is boring. It all helps the rest of us.

Good work

Hugh

Thanks very much
I say it will be on Thursday and Friday however I have never fitted a front end before so this may turn out to be longer than I first thought.
Please keep your comments coming as its nice to know people are reading my thread

Thanks Rhys it's so satisfying when actual start putting new parts on.

And thanks Hugh it's going to be a night mare job but my Dads friend is coming around tomorrow and he is a bit of a Mini Guru and he's done 3 front ends so that should be a big help.

Andrew.

nice little project you got there, keep up the good work! just out of interest, are you using a gasless mig? if you can afford it it may be worth investing in a gas one as you will see great improvments in your welding and its easier to control (in my expirience) great work though!

Well this past few days i have been going mental.
The gaps i have been having with the wings and the bonnet are horrific ( I now feel your pain Hugh )
Any way maybe the pictures will shed some light -

Lots of swearing later i got the front gap spot on :proud: -

After even more swearing we got the gap to as good as its ever going to be ( Im happy with it ) -

Im happy at the moment however we havnt looked at the A - Pannels yet but im hoping they will be a better fit.
I would really appreciate your comments after all the work i have done.
