Well today was probably the furthest ive got on the Mini
Ill let the pictures do most of the talking -

New steering rack fitted and making final preperations with the subframe -

I then put a few layers of Black Hammerite over this but didnt get a photo

I stiripped this down, Cleaned all the rust off, regreased and put a new reverse sender switch on ( I will be putting a quickshift on when it arrives ) -

I will be doing more painting on the inner wing tomorrow and then hopefuly start fitting the front end after that.

I have finished the inner wing today and came across a few problems :(

4 Layers of black hammerite to keep the rust and bay ( I will underseal over this ) -

I tired to fit the shock mounts but found the threads were knackered and ruined by bolt -

Any way i took delivery of a brand new bonnet for £50 ( Bargain )

Well what should have been a 5 Minute job turned into a whole day wasted on the car
I went to install the shock mounts and to my horror found that all the threads were knackered
So i had to go out get new bolts and use a tap and die set on the nuts

Any way i got there in the end -

Thanks and that's very true.
Next step is welding the front end on which will be done Thrusday and Friday
