Had a free driveway today, and been meaning to get a shot like this for a while.



I know it's been done before, but I wanted to give it a go! Anyone got similar?

Mine is nowhere near as good as yours, I did it ages ago playing around with a then new camera

Ah ha! I knew I wouldn't be the only one lol.

Nice attempt, definitely need pics in daylight to get the engine bay colours/detail. I might be able to colour correct your image if you'd like..

how did you do that... dont mind having a go with my mini, jst finished painting the engine

It is achieved through multiple exposures of a uniform image, i.e via a tripod; composited in photoshop (or another free image editor) with the excess of image around the engine bay feathered and deleted as appropriate.

You can do them in a single exposure as well if you put your mind to it. It is easier with Photoshop though.

Theyre all great but toaster93, yours looks just like a perspex bonnet, I wonder if anyone actually makes a perspex bonnet...

I think it's been discussed before that if they did the perspex would fog pretty quickly because of heat.

especially with seats on the side
