Had nothing to do for an hour this afternoon, so got cracking on bringing the driver's side quarter panel back to its best.

Mmmm, that's lovely. I hope I can get mine that shiny once it's painted.

Maybe add a few pictures of the car overall? Looks nice from what I can see.

Ooooo you'll have to wait until I polish it all :P

I'll try and upload some tomorrow, I should get chance to polish the rest of him after/at work.

that stuff is very good normally only available from the paint suppliers, and the rubbing compounds are the best i have used to date, i also use the polishing pads for my DA polisher and it comes up a treat just cant handle the splatter from it . did you use a rotary buffer to do yours?

doh looking at the reflection i can see a buffer. Good work

Thanks :P

Yeah I used a buffer, but after my first experience of getting polish and G10 compound all up a previously polished panel, I apply all the stuff librally with lint free cloths and then just dab a bit into the buffer pad (apart from the polishing one ). Then once buffed, get rid of the excess with micro fibre polishing cloths  )

I only had time to do the back today, so haven't taken any more pictures :P

That's a wicked shine. What rubbing compound would you recommend?

Well, I took it right back with T-cut, and worked with that until the shine was restored. I then brought it back with Autoglym paint renovator and then the above polish . Although to be honest I'm only using those until I run out, and get round to having Farecla everything. The local car paint mixer/shop thing sells the stuff, and as said above it's what the professionals use so it must be good :P.
