Best Answer leadly , 11 October 2011 - 07:49 AM
Still need to get my finger out and test rollering out on my old bonnet to see what I can acheive. Alot of roller projects look great on the net but I still don't think i'v seen a good job in the flesh yet....unless they were that good I didnt realise it was rollered. lol

I've recently bought an 82 Jago Geep and the body looks tired and shabby!
I want to re-paint it to freshen it up, and have sprayed a couple of my previous cars in matt black from a rattle can, but this can get expensive! And im also bored of matt black!
Im undecided what colour to paint it, but have heard people mention they rollered their car before with reasonable results...
So has anyone done this and able to give me any advice on whats required etc?
Its a fibreglass shell, so rusting wont be a problem, and its also only a £500 motor, hence why I dont want to pay for a re-spray!

It looked crap so I left it and went to bed.
Next day when I looked at it the finish was fantastic, the shine was about a foot deep and it looked like a spray job so I did the rest of the Mini and it was great.
The paint I used was Crown outdoor gloss.
just dont get any runs in it and dont put it on too thin and you will be ok.
