You know you're a mini owner when you get completely blinded when driving in the dark because all the cars coming towards you have lights exactly at your eye level

Or is that just me being a short person? ;)

You have a special folder for all the receipts and vow never to add them all up unless you want to spiral into depression and the only way out is to have to start drinking heavily and cry yourself to sleep every night to cope with the amount you have spent.

You are hated for hiding mini parts in drawers, filing cabinets, under the sofa, in the attic and where ever else you can put them.

When friends and family moan about how they have had to spend loads of money on tyres and you smile and rub it in by saying you can buy a Yokohama for around £30 for your 10" wheels

When people such as the satellite man come round and recognise the mini under the cover and end up talking about how they used to have minis and how much fun they are

You know/feel that behind your back friends and family members are placing bets on whether your project will ever see the road again

Window tints help immensely with this, although mine weren't done very well. All scratchy and bubbling up

You know you're a Mini owner when, apart from motorcyclists, you can fill up the fastest at a petrol station ;)

You know you're a Mini owner when people driving cars much fancier than yours (Astons, Jags, Bentleys) actually turn to look at your car as you drive past.

You know your a Mini driver when, your following another car and you hit the brakes half way down a straight and have to hit them again on the way out of the next corner to avoid slaming into the back of the other car

...when your holiday photos include pictures of minis you saw whilst you were there.

...when your folder of the history of your mini includes any prized mini magazines your little one has been in.

...when you have a photo album dedicated to your mini's life in pictures.

...when your mum and dad know you've been over to see if they were in by the drips of oil on their driveway.

...when you have that awkward moment you realise you've just confused a fellow mini owner by waving and flashing your lights at them when driving a non-mini (and watch them in your rear-view mirror pulling over to see what's wrong).

That one made me laugh so bad. ;)

When you see a mini and suddenly screech out "MMIINNII!" in some strange high pitched excited voice, that you never make at any other time, leaving anyone around wondering what just happened to you!

I did this tonight on the way back from the trafford centre my partner told me of for scaring the three kids in back!!!

You open the bonnet more often than the boot.
