Isn't the part circled as #1 just for a bonnet switch for an alarm? Thus actually not really needed?

Yeah its for an alarm switch thats why I said to ignore it as thats a MPi bonnet I'm using, the picture was just to show what the baseplate looks like as I had a feeling the previous owner had cut it off altogether so I figured the OP didn't know what it looked like
The baseplate is also in the wrong place on mine but again its a MPi bonnet, the OP just needs a normal late carb/SPi bonnet
