[DESCRIPTION OF ITEM]
Hi everyone,
Up for sale is my 96 Mini Sprite.
I currently have 2 minis and am at a complete loss on which one to keep, so I have decided to put both up for sale and if one goes then thats my decision made.
I have owned this mini for nearly 3 years and have had an absolutely great time with it. It has attended lots and lots of shows, including the International Mini Meeting in both Germany and Switzerland. It has never let me down on all of those trips.
I have looked after the mini as if it was a member of the family, since owning it I have replaced the Water pump, alternator, radiator, plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm, exhaust manifold and flexi, fuel filter, thermostat, new track rod ends and ball joints less than 5 months ago, new tires on the front, engine steady bushes, various gaskets as well as all the usual service bits.
Main points are for the mini are:
- RC40 Exhaust
- 4 Pot Mini Sport Calipers with Green Stuff pads.
- Grooved and Vented discs
- Braided brake hoses
- Centre Speedo Conversion with new Magnolia dial.
- Rear Safety Devices roll cage
- Half Leather interior
- Rally look inspired, door numbers, stickers, rear Lucas lamp
- Wipac and Hella front spots
- Halogen Headlights
- 1275 Single Point Injection
Bodywork wise the mini is fantastic! No patches or filler, all solid panels! It had a new front end put on approximately 4 years ago. Every other part is perfect with no bubbles of any kind!
It starts first time every time and the engine is running very well, it has covered roughly 90,000 miles.
It is a nice mix of new and old, you get the benefits of an injection engine, servo brakes, alarm and immobiliser with the classic mini feel on both the outside and inside.
I can't praise this little car enough and I will be sad to see it go, but this is what it has to come down to. I love both of them and si one has to go.
The only thing I will mention is the slight crunch in 3rd gear, It has never bothered me as once used to it you can stop it from doing it.
If you want to know anymore then feel free to send me a message.
Will Put more Pics up soon, these are a few recent ones, but the 2 yellow headlamp converters aren't with it (I had them for driving abroad)
