how to remove door windows from rover mini 1991? please

Cannot find a thread which describes how to to remove glass from a 1991 rover mini mayfair?


[b]Any non-standard parts that might be involved with the problem?

Undo all the door furniture, window handle, interior door handle, door latch handle. side pockets.
remove door card.
Remove chrome trim on each side of glass
Wind window to about half way down. Can then use duck tape over top of frame onto glass to hold in position
With door card off you can see big metal plate winder mechanism is on, unscrew 4 BIG screws. And slide plate off the door body till its loose, Will make sense when you look at it.
Then wind the handle so the plate starts going down this will expose the bottom of the window glass and runners. You will see the two arms that move the glass up and down.
When the arms are close enough together, move the plate sideways and one arm will come free of the window glass track, then move plate otherway to release other arm off track.

Glass should now pull out upwards through frame.
