As for working at tesco, nothing wrong with that. If you have anything about you, you can work your way up through tesco to management, they will give you excellent training and very worthwhile experience.

Like I said before, I have nothing against stacking shelves, in fact I have done in a previous employment (money is money at the end of the day) I just found it offensive at the time. As I just happened to be helping load another mini onto a trailer that had just been painted (probably shouldn’t have pointed out the overspray, runs and patchy bits), that I’d had a hand in doing the prep work on.

Does look great. More details..how long, how many costs, what paint...how much swearing.

Looks a really nice green.....with a silver front that would look bill.

So far it’s only had two coats, as it covers the primer completely with just the one. But with the roller and the limited amount of spirits I’ve used, it has gone on quite thick. As with the dulux high gloss (witch is enamel based) I’ve been using, it really doesn’t need all that much in the way of thinners or it does unwanted things to the paint.

As for the silver front, I kind of gone off silver to be honest. The daily 25 was originally roller painted with rustoluem, but it didn’t last too long and was an utter sod to do without getting roller marks.
Although I’ve only just recently re-rollered it, but this time with just smooth hammerite. Witch despite looking utterly awful when wet, dries to an even satin sort of finish. Plus I’ve now been able to give it a dust over with the odd spray can. Ok so it’s not as high a gloss finish as the green one, but for a daily that’s used in all weathers, it doesn’t really matter too much.

looks like it turned out well, good job.

nice sig too

:) … ah… well… I’m having second thoughts on the stripes and circles. I used to be indecisive, but I’m not too sure.

Just not too sure, but still think the sides could do with something… just don’t want to commit to masking and painting something only to not like it afterwards.

Still think the boot needs something, just not entirely sure on that either.

I will be keeping the matt black bonnet though, purely because I have a few cans of black spay left over from the pound shop and the bonnet is already matt black.

I know what you mean, i'm debating wether to put the door circles on or not.

I like the stripe, but i just don't like the curve on the rear where it says 'britax cooper' and I'm thinking that i'm only going to have stripes on the bonnet, no circle.

what about painting the boot black?

lol, at what point in your life were you a work of formal art, primarily in the visual arts, made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole??

Dont paint on the circles, Just get some magnetic ones made up. Around £20 for two. Then you can simply shove them in the boot when your not needing the numbers on.

I’m really not too sure. But as I was planning on masking and painting the britax stripes on, I wasn’t going to have the britax cooper text. I’ve never liked the idea of putting cooper stripes and badges etc on a mini witch isn’t a cooper.

But then I was also thinking the other day of some sort of yellow and white stripes, but not on the over the whole car.
A bit like this one...
[attachment=114585:JAPANMini6.jpg]

As the main body colour is that green, the subframes are gloss black, the suspension bushes, dampers and engine are bright yellow and the wheels and door mirrors are white.

But then whatever I decided on, I don’t want it to be too over the top. As if the bright green and white wasn’t in your face already lol.
