Had a call from Alex at Sky today, and I have to say i'm impressed. £700 TPFT, with legal cover, courtesy car, and all modifications covered like for like.

If you have a car that is actually MODIFIED, they'll give you a fair quote. I'm not just talking about set of alloys and an air filter, these guys specialise in insurance for highly modified cars. For that purpose, they're good.

We prefer non stand vehicle insurance and the more modified, the better but we do insure cars with just alloy wheels changes to highly modified competition spec cars. We are competitive for the typical person who struggles to run their car through an internet insurance price comparison site.

Sorry but have to disagree with you here, I just rang for a quote to see what it compared and you wouldnt even give me a quote.

 

Your quote above saying the more modified the better is wrong, my car must be up there with the most modified with all the different bits and pieces however no quote.

im currently insured with these guys for my zetec s and i have to say they were extremely helpful both on the phone and in written form. i searched solid for a week with various companys before sky and there insurance was £700 cheaper than anybody else.

im surprised im 20 with similar NCB and they wouldn't quote me for my CG13DE mini guess it would be down to the car specs/ area or something ether way never had a competitive quote from them even on my 998 metro

Gave Sky Insurance a call on the off chance they may beat Adrian flux's quote of £100 for my 97 Cooper, but they quoted £265 so I would not waste your money calling these. Also although I am a paid up member of the forum Adrian Flux could not give me any discount at all.

Sky Insurance is now Safely Insured, they do NOT specialise in Classic Car Insurance.
