sorry to be a pain but has no one got any info on where to get a mini engine rebuilt, all the so called mini specialists that advertise in the mini mags are a long way from where I live, there has got to be a company more local to shrewsbury that would do a good job ?????????Hi looking for advice on where locally(Shrewsbury Shropshire) can i get my mini engine rebuilt, has anyone had any experiances of good companys who know what they are doing? my engine is a gold seal replacement i believe the number on the block is 8G199ER10260 not sure if it is a good engine to rebuild or to purchase a replacement, the engine ran when i first had the car about 3 years ago but was using loads of oil and missfiring the car is slowly being restored and i am at the point where a working engine will be a bonus..... any advise greatly appreciated.

There is a company down in Bridgnorth called Mini Restoration Centre or something - they have an ad in the back of Mini Mag - but i've never used them.
Other than that it's over to Wolverhampton / Birmingham to the likes of Bromsgrove Engine Services etc.
