wow that brings back memories, i learnt to drive in 1997 and the aa driving school were using the 114 gsi in that same colour. it was a great little car to drive

That's an awesome fact  It's strange that although technically different to a Mini... it still has that Mini 'feel' about it.

I'm very tempted to just get her looking lovely and then maybe take her off the road when I get a Mini and just keep shining and adding special bits. Its such a super little car that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)

Thanks Jamie  . I'm collecting some spot lamps from Mike at Gaydon on the weekend that I've payed £15 for. I dont think I'll do them yellow, but they do look pretty cool.

My dads gonna be driving her until I get my lisense, although only running me about and picking me up from work etc :) He had a major back operation a few years ago and had a few disks removed, so he really needs a comfortable ride, hence he owns 2 Citreon C5's (Smooth as you like).

When I'm driving her, I'll aim for the stance shown above

9 Hours till she's home. Leaving for work early to stop by halfords and get some polish/wax and also a few other bits. :P Today is gonna DRAG

I must admit to having evil thoughts along these lines occasionally I prefer the early '90's styling as it just has that slightly sharper look. I would then promptly empty my bank account into Reyland's till.

I like the idea of the 160bhp VVC lump and at £1800 it's got to come fairly high on the value for money scale given how quickly that engine will hussle a car the size of a Metro around. But then they mention Civic Type-R...... drool.

She's home... oh my. :!: :!: I dont have many words right now.

Spent the last 4 hours just giving her a good clean. She's come out lovely after about 3 washes with £12 halfrauds turtle wax. :!: Need to get some proper wax and give her a polish after Gaydon. Went over the engine to get it a bit shiney, it looks a lot better already.

I think I'm in love.

Are you gonna come round when Sam drops me off and have a look after Gaydon Ben? she's super shiney :!:

I have a couple hours to get stuff done on her tommorow before Sam picks me up for Gaydon, so I'll get tonnes of pics.

I'm also hoping my MG stuff comes via the postman nice and early so that I can get that on. :!:

3 days without seeing it is gonna kill me! :!: But there will be plenty of Minis and drunkness this weekend to keep me happy! :!:
