You've never met me sir... I'm sure most members on here would vouch for me being as respectful to anybody that gives me respect, I'm just fed up of killjoys that are ruining the few good shows that are left to be honest,

I'm not into Minis for the 'scene' anyway, the 'scene' has been overrun by complete and utter idiots as this forum shows very finely... I go to Mini shows to have a good time with the friends I made before the 'scene' turned to sh*t.

There was never a mini scene and never will be because minis arent the "scene" its the people and thats whats destroying it

I see where you're coming from completely, but people shouldn't wait until the morning after and then complain, if people had come over and politely asked whoever to turn the music down I'm sure they probably would have...it's not they're Uzi yeilding yobos primed and ready for action... it just seems the marshals all have to be the man and run over all guns blazing shouting about chucking you off site and reporting you blah blah blah, if they would come over calmy and explained that people had complained about the noise then it would have been different, as you say, respect... if you repsect you get respect back

Come on peeps, it's all about compromise.

There are the people that go to the shows that need to get there sleep to be up early to polish all day !!!

And party peeps, but 2am music is affecting everyone around the whole site whether they like it or not - that does show a lack or respect.

BBQ and beer is great all night but more respect with the tunes is the compromise needed.
And on the other hand the trailer queen polishers should stop sniffing the autoglym and stay up a bit later and enjoy the beer/BBQ!!!

Probably not helped all in all as the usual laid on activities etc was not organised and therefore this should be adressed by the organisers also.

without entering the arguement, craig is a very respectful young man. although a little strange!

mini shows are crap, minis are crap. we go because we work hard, we go to party hard and enjoy ourselves with friends we see a few times a year. this is how its going to be, i will not be stopping this.

if you want to bring kids camping, go to a campsite. dont bring them to a show where we, are going to be having fun. simple as.

the music you heard, wasnt us, or tmf. i think you'll find it was the drug fuelled sheffield mini club members, but hey ho! get off your high horse, it doesnt suit you!

What a strange thing to quote on a mini forum.????

People can get up to what they like as far as I am concerned within there own camp's but if it effects others who are in the next field / camp or wherever it is effecting other peoples enjoyment etc. there wishes should be respected - even if it differs from yours - or mine to be exact.

Exactly right. By having music blaring until the early morning is not showing respect, so they deserve everything the Marshalls shouted and threatened and more. The respect can't kick in when it suits I am affraid.

If everyone was respectful nobody would have to walk up to a bunch of drunk, high, loud and inconsiderate people in the small hours in the first place.

I was thinking of camping with my kids at the Gaydon show next year until I read this thread. Clearly not welcome.

i know exactly the group of cars/campers and the behaviour was terrible, i know for a fact that the marshal warned them on the friday night regarding the loud music etc and even threatened that if it was repeated on the saturday they would be removed from the site, how ever because of the amount of drink consumed it was not possible to throw them out as it would have put drunk drivers on the road.

i like a bit of drum and bass and a few drinks but come 2am it was starting to take the human water! then there was the state the pitch was left in, haven't you heard of bins? there was empty bottles, cans, BBQ's and a chair left along with other food wrappers etc if i was gaydon (they had to send several members of staff to pick up the litter) id be sending a cleaning bill to each person listed as it was discussing and the people should be ashamed! the marshal had a huge supply of bin bags and you/they where not even 50m away from a skip! its just plain lazy.

no car scene wants people like that, it ruins shows for every one


and as for the comments regarding dont bring you kids etc etc it really does show a huge amount of disrespect time to grow up and realise that your actions affect other people

Bloody hell! everyones making out Gaydon was terrible, it wasnt there were three music sources on that one piece of camping which was myself, mini_mad_craig and they guys camping with him and then a focus at the bottom of the field. Then there were the other mini clubs on their own stands with music blaring.

It wasnt that bad at all tbf, everyone was friendly the marshall was awesume came over and i thought he was doing a great job being on his own for tweleve hours trying to make sure everyone was ok and new all the rules.
Gaydon is one of my favourite shows as everyone gets together and have a good time. I think that only the people that were there can comment on what happened NOT what you heard from another person or source?!

End of the situation hopefully this doesnt ruin another really good mini shows because Gaydon is excellent three day show. Doesnt need this bad atmosphere around it. Im sick of people coming on the forum to ******* about other people, if they just had the balls to come up to them at the show and ask them to turn the music down or whatever their decent enough to do this. then it wouldnt give a bad impression to people who might want to come next year.

i agree the show was very good, the only problem was a few people not respecting the wishes of the other campers and the marshal and just carrying on. i know of at least 3 people who asked them to turn it down (one being my father) but it just fell on deaf ears. it definitely wont stop me going again, its just a shame that a select few decided to do their own thing
