I've got a pair of hadrian inner sills here that I bought a while ago, the steel thickness of the M-machine panel is greater and they just look better. You do need to ask for the extra brackets to be fitted though, the hadrian ones do come with them.

Depending on what you want to do, the Heritage 1/4 floor is a good option, that comes to the 1st flute and is complete with all the details and the outer sill. I've fitted this to other peoples cars and it is a nice panel.

Nice welding chief. You have been busy! That's why the lights dimmed in the Shire the other night.

Welcome to the dark side, you know square ends make sense...

Do you have a faecal fetish, Mr Shufts?

Actually, don't answer that.

Looks like you're cracking on with it, though. Keep up the good work!

Hi nice work with the welder, a quick question of the track a bit, do any estates have the means to fix rear seatbelts?? my 81 estate seems to have the bits where the clip fits into under the rear seats but nothing else, in the middle of restoring it and with 2 young kids could do with some rear seatbelts.
interested in your progress so i will keep looking in...

Thats a very good point about the seatbelts and one I'm considering myself. I need to be able to fit a baby seat in the back. A lot of estates have been retrofitted with lap belts.

Car seats are available that are designed to be used with a lap strap..

http://www.halfords....yId_165763#dtab

My plan is to fit a centre lap strap and use this to secure the seat.

I see you're from Shrewsbury, I'm not far from you at all!!

My kids are past the baby seat stage so was looking for bit more than a lap belt, just have to keep looking on the net to see what I can come up with there must be a system fitted to another car that would fit

From the big city of Wem....

I've seen some examples of rear seat belts that are just utterly dangerous.

To be safe for use it would have to be pretty substantial, have you looked on the clubman estate register, theres a big pinned thread about this very subject.

Ahh Wem eh, last time I went drinking there I met a bloke who claimed to be his own dad!

I'm just the other side of Shawbury.

Yes looked on there not quite what was looking for all a bit crude with bars bolted accross the back, if the crash did not kill you the bar would probably decapitate you...

the search goes on

Well, I've decided that MITP will be Stinkys debut show, a few years ago it was Poos first show so for sentinmental(read silly) reasons I want to do the same with stinky.

The bodywork may not be finished but, thats no big deal.

Soooo.....progress...

I have been gi

ven all of the rear parts of a brown clubby estate interior(less front seats and front cards), in my attic I have a brown velour mayfair interior so between the 2 I can make a nice interior.

Had a day on him today and have finished all of the structural welding

Also repaired the passengers side rear 1/4

Posted Image

Then turned to the brakes, rebuilt the passengers side rear with new cylinders and shoes, the pipe snapped when I tried to remove it so had to make a new pipe.

Posted Image

Prior to this I had done the same to a spare set of front hubs so it was just a case of swapping them over. I also fitted new tie rods and track rod ends.

It turned out that the hub nut was only finger tight, that could have been nasty!!

Posted Image

Just need to do the same to the drivers side and thats the brakes sorted.

I found a tub of "valve master" in the car so its safe to assume that its still set for leaded fuel, I can't be bothered messing around so I'll get the head converted.
