I am having the same issues at the moment, ran into someone on a soaking november morning and since been off the road and I have no free time at the moment with uni and work, so shes just sitting on my drive with no front end looking very sad but have a week off in feb to hopefully get mine back, and have bought lots of shiny bits for when shes back.

defo need some sunshine and warmth though, does wonders for the winter blues and getting outside and under the bonnet !

First pic is exactly what im going for, even have the spot lights for the front...just with my wider revos on :)

Running a bit better now, seems to be running a bit hotter than normal though but I think she just got used to it snowing!

Still lots of tidying to do, she will battle on until the grit has gone then, who knows.

Need to stop the water coming in.
Sorted numerous electric things.
Fit radio.
Rub down/primer/paint rubbish areas.
Fit fog lights
Fit summer wheels
Maybe a roll cage


Wont take much to tidy up. Probs last another year until a full rebuild.



Oh yeah and my bottom engine steady has snapped clean off the front subframe which is handy

Fitted these

Fitted radio and tidied up the interior




Absolutely raping the mileage recently.


Hole has now appearing on the passenger wing next to the headlight which is nice.
Pulling to the left.
Brakes Binding.
Tracking needs doing.
Nice having a radio back in the car.

Passenger door pull wont stay on, needs the hole welding up and re drilling ideally.
Also need a new tax disk holder.

Thought about a short front plate? they suit 5 digit regs :)

Yeah to be honest the plates as they stand are temporary,

Story goes is that they are my grandpas old plates and my dad had them on retention after his death and surprised me with them on my 21st, so i got these made up cheaply as i didnt want to drill holes in his original plates.

Most likely going to go black plates.


When i finish uni in may i have some plans for it.
Going to convert to boot to the earlier style boot then fit the black plates on the back and a painted one on the bonnet.

One of my favourite minis dude! really nice to see something a bit different to the norm. keep looking at your car for inspiration on how to pull off archless on 12s.

Got me a little overtaking mirror from himley

 

 

 

Just ordered the conversion 7.5" conversion kit along with adjustable bottom arms, so bigger update soon.

Should probably update this for those of you that are following/so i can look back on what has changed.

 

Finally fixed the wiper issue by sourcing a set of hooked wiper arms. 

Converted to 10 inch wheels, got some reverse steels on there atm. 

 

Purchased and am currently rebuilding a HIF 38 carb as my current one needs the bin.  

Had some paint matched up in rattle cans so hopefully i can get on top of the tattyness of the rust for the time being. 

 

Fixed lots of little niggles but still some to fix such as hazard lights and rear heated window swtich aaaand interior light.

 

Started to paint a few things in the engine bay, keeping it simple with black with a green block (block still to do done)
