Try and not to crash it during the winter ice...continue my daily 40 mile commute in at, and weekly 160 mile to Nottingham and back...all while keeping it running and reliable and keeping the rust at bay ;)

If i get any time after all that, just to fit a few retro details for now that i already have.

Next year will hopefully go on 10's

Just a bit of an update:

Been running the Mini everyday, doing trips up the motorway and to uni and back and to work and back and it runs perfectly.

Loving it right now.

Just getting a few things ready for winter, including waxoyl and new window seals all round along with a new windscreen and new heated rear screen.

Have a few problems to get sorted such a the heater has stopped working, but should be getting these done in the coming week :)

Sooo finished uni for Christmas and done the following jobs.

New windscreen as the old one was a pain in the bum during night driving.
New heated rear screen which is quite the luxury.
All rubber seals have been replaced as well.

Fitted the older style lights to the rear, and a spot lamp which is being used as a reverse lamp. Had these sitting around for ages.

Ended up sourcing a whole new heater, because mine was totally shot.

Its nice to have the car slightly weather proof

That's a lovely cheese board on your Flickr.

Oh and I like the mirrors :P Are you rivnutting or riveting them on?

Cant turn down a christmas cheeseboard can you really.

Turns out the doors are missing the metal sleaves that you screw mirrors into so i need to put the little things in with a rivet gun.

Nothings ever straight forward is it.

Om nom nom nom.

That sounds like rivnuts you are on about, if the rivet and thread are in the same little unit. They are great, but you need a special tool if you can get one. I'm slowly replacing anything with a self-tapping screw with them. Hopefully no more rusty screw holes :)

The seat cover is from mini spares i do believe. Its a draw string type design that fits over the original seat covers.
Not the best fit if you use the rear seats lots but looks good.

The cushion i got from like BHS or Primark or somewhere like that :)
