I bought this car a couple of months ago as a mostly complete project car with an mot (how it got one I don't know!) from ebay as a small project car although after getting it off the tow truck (didn't have a licence at the time) what seemed like an endless number of unexpected faults began to appear.

Known faults when buying; pulled to the left, broken drivers side hinge, small patch of fibre glass on scuttle, high idle, running rich, needed some cosmetic work doing, worn out window seals, needed set up on the rolling road

Unknown faults when buying; holes in rear subframe mount (one side had been welded for mot, but didn't bother the other), alot of electrical faults, needed more welding than first expected, one very worn tie rod bush (causing it to violently pull to the left), completely bogded body work around the drivers door (which was probably why the hinge wasn't replaced), crack in metal on drivers door around the hinge, the seller decided to claim back it's 11months of tax! and many many more........

As mentioned above a few of small jobs turned into many big ones so I decided to take some pictures of the progress and start a build thread.

More fresh under seal removed... Judging by the paint on the sills it look's like they're original but "well" patched up!

I still can't believe that this has an mot, I only poked it with a flat head screw driver with the occasional use of a hammer!

Cheers, and no it's not a z cars dash, it's one from ebay.

Dropping in a vtec is definitely on the wish list
