Do you have any pics of the other mini I can see? I want to prep mine like a 90's car and that looks very close

Hi all , had some time off for some r&r, time for an update.
Car is now run in and I've done 1 event albeit as course car. Met dave ( rally1380) and Jen who were competing in their seat Ibiza. Had a great night and the car ran well apart from no grip due to fitting my Hankook ice tyres on. I've since found out they come into their own when it's a lot colder!! Lol

Anyway a couple of things it brought to light was the Perspex sliding windows were far too rattley. This has been solved by using some thin rubber edging that I had lying around ( bought it from a mini show somewhere)
This has been glued along the edge. Then it was sprayed with silicone to help it slide nicely and job done, seems a lot better and quieter.
While on the windows I had been concerned about the security of them so I've drilled a hole in them and fitted a locking pin


The other thing was the main headlight switch packed in so now has been rewired/relocated to the switches on the dashboard. The main and dip beam are now on separate 25amp switches. I've also used some washer tubing to extend the switches by 2 inches , this does give a nice effect when illuminated

Sorry haven't been around on here much lately. Yes the car is still in use but the arrival of a baby has kerbed my rallying somewhat.

The only mod that has been done since my last post is that I have now fitted a fibre glass boot lid and should have a new lighter bonnet soon.
