Thanks All

After running the car for a couple of weeks I have found a few problems. Firstly the suspension was set way to low so that was heightened by 30mm all round and is a lot better. The exhaust middle mount has broke already so that will be sorted soon, and the ebc pads are rubbish so I have some mintex m1144s on order

Did manage to fit the interior light and cigar lighter

Well summer holidays are now over, back in the garage to regain some sanity!!
Have a few jobs to do which have cropped up after running the car in so will update them as I get round to them.
First job that was annoying me was the door check straps I had made were not up to the job so I found some proper ones at the uttoxeter show which are a lot stronger
A1344F17-C3BF-4E38-88EE-2B0F870AA0BF-135
Also made a start on a new front dash panel as the rev counter in the original didnt work. Unfortunately I couldn't check it at the time to see if it was working so the new one I have bought does work but is a lot smaller. 2 hours work and its ready to paint but this time it will be in satin black

New dash finished and fitted and all working.

I used the proper crackle finish paint this time, its not perfect but once a coat of satin black was on it then it doesn't look to bad

Time for an update, been busy sorting my garage and building a better working area .
Had to change a couple of things on the car, the seating position didnt feel right so some new seat brackets were sorced and fitted so the seat is low but further forward.
The plastic washer bottle started to leak so that was replaced with this
F1B00B99-8CD5-48A7-8FBE-3B0B253684CE-551
I had been asked to do course car on a local rally so spent a week checking things and took off all the adjustable tie rods and lower arms an sold them ( didnt feel right) Then two nights before while testing the brakes failed , the culprit was boiled brake fluid and pads that had started to break up. So while fixing that I also changed the brake master cylinder to be safe.
Then took it for another test drive only for this to happen
C99E54B5-DF94-46F1-9CA1-BADB43E81F33-551
The heater valve decided to blow apart!! Another one fitted and fluids replaced and all seemed fine, left the car running up to temperature, checked for pressure in the top hose when one of the heater pipes blew off and sprayed hot water up my arm
Have a lovely scar to prove , always check things twice!!

I don't run a tap for this very reason, just the Retrosport angled take off.
