Right havnt had a lot of time to update the build but here goes
Finished a lot of small jobs off, got the clocks wired in and working
The 70amp alternator fitted and wired up
The carb is off my cooper as I know this one works and I think as I'm not familiar with the twin setup to run in the engine
I needed to wire up the ignition module so I used the one off the cooper as a pattern. On the OE one there was a rubber cover to keep the water out I found the covers off the braided hoses are perfect for the job
And got the sliders fitted to the Perspex windows
What's the blue light on the speedo? I've got it but it hasn't come on yet so don't know what it's for lol...

Had a few timing noise issues
I had taken the timing cover to replace the oil seal and gasket, got it all back together and all seemed fine till I drove it. There was a noise you could hear inside the car that sounded like the timing chain catching and was only heard when the engine was under load. So it was taken apart and checked with no apparent catching, put back together but the noise was still there
So again I called on my friend Rob to help out, after much head scratching we disconnected the ultimate engine steady and the noise stopped!!! .
It was transferring the valvetrain noise through mounting inside the car!!!!!!!!!!
Another problem solved
