Well that's the last thing it will do if you leave it painted in just that for any length of time. It absorbs moisture from the air, it doesn't actually have to get wet to soak up loads of water. There's a reason new panels come in a plastic E-coat rather than a primer.

Poor adhesion ???? have you tried to remove it after a few years.........as a Painter and decorator I've always used this on all metat raillings and gates .........once used as a anti rust coating on a mini body shell leave for a few weeks to harden and then use 2pk primer then rub down then 1 more coat 2pk re bub and then get pro to paint shell then...your shell will look like this..............
