Nice one mate. Did you adapt the existing clutch pedal? I was wondering how practical it'd be to use an accelerator pedal. Mainly so I could use one of the dsn classics CNC ones, haha!

As it stands

Bike carb + manifold - done
Exhaust manifold - done
Clutch - done
Rad - just a hose needed
Megajolt - waiting on trigger wheel

Left to do

Drive shafts
Lower suspension arm pins
Alternator

Running a front mounted rad posed a problem the thermostat housing is forward facing which didn't allow room for a hose.
The solution... a mini thermostat housing :)

I was over the moon when I realised they had the same bolt pattern as the micra engine

if you sourced an early one with a temp sender it would sort your temp gauge out too!

Yeah that was the plan, the one on there now is just a spare I had laying around. What did you do for a sender ?

next to the nissan sender there was another sender (for the carbon filter i think) if i remember right it's m18, i sleeved it to 5/16ths to suit a mini sender unit

Ah that was my second plan! as I already have the taps from fitting senders to spi heads :) a early thermostat housing is just a simpler option if I can find one

the sleeve i made dosn't allow the full length sender to sit in the coolant flow, however it does give a reading on the gauge but i'm concious it reads on the cool side. mines been running in all conditions since july and ive never had coolant issues. When do you hope to be finished?

I don't really know I'm just doing a little bit when I can. It would nice if it was done by Xmas or at least all built up and ready to drop in the mini

Forgot to post a pic of possible alternator position

It's all just tacked together for now until I can throw the suspension etc on and check for clearance.

Are you having to run it backwards at the side or have you just done it because it's the easiest way? It's just other cg13 conversions run them behind or in front.

Just the easiest location. It will run backwards which makes no difference as it creates a DC waveform
