I've never checked myself. Can you confirm you're using Mini Disc-brake CV's Jonot2008 ?

Interesting, like you I remember it said that the outer end of the Micra shafts fitted the Mini CV joint, and I never thought to check.

photo from page 8 I think

That's the one, but my micra shafts have 21 splines -_- everything is from a 1.3 1999 micra
I don't understand what driveshafts I need to get a hold of :s

Yes it's a bit weird because the Micra in this thread should have had the same shafts and gearbox (slightly different internals) as yours. The early 1.0L ones had the smaller box, shafts and joints, but I don't know if they fit the Mini CV's. but there's no mention of sourcing extra shafts in this thread

Nope didn't source any other shafts. They are the ones that came out of the Micra, just shortened and welded back together they where sleeved as well just for extra strength.

That's what I thought? So the later 1.0 micras must also have different shafts, unless it's just mine lol.

people on MSC say that the early 1.0 micras have 19 splines on outer part of shaft and the later 1.0 have 21 but obviously not as you (jones) have 19.

Edit: just seen your post at MSC, so that means inner cvs are the same then, just the outer part of the shaft I need to worry about -_-
Thanks

How is the correct length worked out for cutting and welding the shafts ? One thing I have always wondered

There's a few ways of doing it, the route I took was

Cut shafts in half.
Put each end in the pot joint and CV joint.
Lined them up.
Clamped the 2 half's together.
Remove as one piece and measure the total length.

Being nosey was it much more than the Megajolt system?
Am I correct in saying it can run injectors and ignition?

I have seen it but I feel im missing something due to the price of it
Or is just a new basic compact control system?

With the current exchange rate its roughly £220 before shipping, not sure how much megajolt is these days Ive had mine 8 years.

Its basically a stripped down version of megasquirt and can run ignition and injectors.

O you shipped from the states to make it cheaper
You still going to use the ford Edis coil setup?
What injectiors did you consider using?

Im going to watch this space see how you get on with it as I have some bike throttle bodies on a bike engined buggy I have that would be idle :)

Yep going to keep the edis etc as its already in place so means only 2 wires to alter to get a crank input and run the ignition.

Injectors are the ones that came with my gsxr ITB's.
