started sorting out sensors and associated wiring for the conversion to injection

Just read this from start to finished... Hav to say its deffentely given me something to think of doin in the future!!! And sorry to hear about the mini, did u manage to get the wing sorted? Hope u did and it wasn't to bad.

Cheers, I pushed it out and it's left a big crease :( also noticed a small dent on the rear quarter

Can I ask, i see your doing  a vtec conversion as well. Between the micra and Vtec engine in a mini is there much 'space' between them?

Over all there is more room with the Micra conversation but they are tighter in different places.

I've decided on a micra conversion but I'm struggling to find any cheap 1.3 in the area.

Yeah they are getting harder to find cheap now but they do pop up now and then

Finally bit the bullet and started spending money ready for the swap to efi. Just bought some sock filters for the ITB's. I'm hoping that if I wait a few weeks I might be able to pick up a microsquirt ecu cheaper in the post Xmas sales.

I had planned on building another air box but the socks won out in the end to their ease of fitment

I have finally made a decent job of the manifold-exhaust joint. Up till now it was a normal clamp style but every now and then it would blow after hitting speed bumps etc.

So I bought some flanges

Fitted the new fuel line today, had already sorted out the bends etc with some scrap pipe so they where re-created on a single piece. what a pain in the bottom getting it threaded between the bulkhead,subframe, steering rack and gearbox.

Also treated it to some heatshrink to help protect it.

Rear frame etc is all bolted back up, hopefully I'll carry on with the injection set up soon.

Hi, just reading that you are now using the 1.3 box, what driveshaft and Inner cv combination are you using? As you said you were using shortened 1.0 micra shafts before, but these don't fit the 1.3 box do they? As the shaft for 1.3 like mine are bigger / have 21 splines instead of 19 like mini.. My original 1.0 box was the later ( larger)type which is a essentally a 1.3 box with a different gear set.

Bassicly the later 1.0 box and the 1.3 box share the same Case, CV joints and shafts.

I'm so confused, I remember you saying that your shafts had 19 splines and fit straight into mini cv's but I have a 1.3 box and it has 21 splines :/ also seen a lot of people saying the later 1.0 micras also have 21 splines on the outer end of the shaft

I asked on MSC and frank says I'll have to use half mini shafts n half micra but I don't really want to do this as they are a different diameter -_-

If you could help me figure this out I'd be grateful!
