I have just read through this again and have a few questions if you don't mind.

Is your MJ setup a MAP or TPS model?

Is the 4 vacuum feeds necessarily or was 4 just a choice due to having spare injector holes?

When you swapped from the 1.0L to the 1.3L what items did you need to change? Did you just swap the block and head out for the 1.3 items?

Think I need to do some research into ITB's, how to feed fuel to them, throttle linkages and a few other bits.

Makes the bay look so much nicer and has a noticeable performance effect no doubt.

EDIT

If you have a vacuum feed am I right in thinking you are using a Manifold Air Pressure set up?

Good build! Very impressive... I used to have a micra before my mini, good job you didn't keep injection, my mass airflow sensor went twice in one year!

Mine uses MAP, yeah you need a take off each runner to get a accurate load measurement.

1.0 to 1.3 is a complete unit swap (one out one in )

Cam kits seem a bit expensive :-/ saying that it's more getting the correct shims made that brings the cost up.

I'm thinking I could Get a low boost turbo set up for only a few hundred.

Do it! It would be fantastic!

I have been considering registering to some micra forums to see what the score is regard tuning these.

I would be interested to read about a potential turbo build

Confusing thread here with Frank and his turbo's http://www.micra.com...messageid=75745

He doesn't post a seperate thread on Micra org but there are some turbo thread's on there, here's one http://www.micra.org...si-build.43275/ although I've not read it myself.

forgot to post some of the progress a while back ..... whilst i had the new gearbox stripped i decided to modify the casing a bit. the problem i had was with my frame it was near impossible to remove the speedo drive to fill the box with oil.

so what ive done is drilled and tapped the top of the gearbox and fitted a m10 (could not find a bigger tap :( ) bolt as a plug. so hopefully now when the box goes in i can remove the plug and via a funnel fill the box with ease

What's the box then? I wonder if you found the right Almera box?

It's just a standard 1.3 box.

In other news I ordered a wide band o2 sensor and controler so hopefully it will arrive tomorrow and i can swap engines over on monday as its bank holiday.

Here's to hoping that the sensor arrives shortly if not already. I look forward to your thoughts on how the 1.3 engine compares with the 1.0 one. I run a 1.3 Micra and hope to get around to getting one in a Midas at some point.

A while back done one asked via pm about how i got the mini temp sender to work. I cant remember who it was so i'll post it here.

On the rear of the cylinder head there's a take off to provide coolant to the TB, nearly all the micra boys disconnect this any way and in my case the carbs don't need it so the nipple/take off was removed the hole drilled and tapped to fit the mini sender

Today was a bit of a disaster, the plan was to swap engines over. I didn't manage to get out garage till 1pm :(

By end of play (7pm) the 1.0 is out and flywheel removed :) the 1.3 has had the the 1.0 flywheel fitted a new clutch and the gearbox mated to it.

Hopefully I'll get 3 hours on Wednesday so it can be finished off

Is this the easiest of the conversions to do ? also how much did it set you back if you don't mind me asking because I'm really thinking about it now!
