I too used to think POR15 was the daddy, sadly it flakes off all too easily unless the surface is very badly pitted and rough. Even if you use their primer and metal ready stuff too, it still flakes on smooth metal :(
Google 'POR15 flaking' or something similar and you'll see what I mean.

I'm keen to try something called 'Rust bullet'. It looks good but still it is a product that is trying to do too much...

If you have decent metal underneath, you still can't beat traditional primer and a quality topcoat.

i must say i bought por 15 thinking it would be brill but it does flake off and chip ive just painted my floor and lower bulkhead and am not impressed. I dunno whether to strip back and use etch prime with redoxide then paint and underseal.
