What grade paper should i be using to sand 2k primer filler? Been using 1500 as that is all i have at mo, (apart from 400). Already sprayed over a light dusting of black to show up any imperfections, but 1500 is taking an age. amateur painting at its best.

600 should be fine. You can always use the 400 to take the bulk off then finish with something finer (600 or 800). You may even get away with just using 400. Try a little top coat on and see if any scratches show through.

I would defo go for the 600 to 800 grades. Having just done this on Project Erm paint it makes all of the difference.
You could use the 1500 grit to flattening any high spots on the top coat but i would recommend using 2000 wet and dry with lots of soapy water then polish up.

400 w/d good for solid colors.600 and 800 good for base coats ,it being a solvent base i would use 800 w,d knock it down with 6oo ,then put a guide coat on again at take it down with 8oo w/d..

I would tend to go with the 800, like what is said before, use some soapy water it will take it down nice & smooth.
