Well the tank doesn't fit for some reason.... Same tank, same hole, with or without foam.

Just out of interest how far out do other peoples fuel tanks stick out? If that make's sense...
It seems to me that it's fowling near the filler neck and doesnt go high enough through the body.

It's not much, 3/8 of an inch or so, if that.

Really right ok so it's coming through the body enough just doesnt seem to want to line up with the mount points.
I do wonder now if the valence is bent....

Completely forgot to take a pic today sorry, I'll set a reminder now. I know mine was a swine to get the mounts lined up and then to get the rubber collar on.

Sorry guys not been on here for ages.
Took a quick pic today, not sure if it'll help. As I said, it's tight!
That helps loads cheers. This is about where the neck of my tank fits through at the moment.
I'm on my 2nd attempt and about 5 hours of trying to get it to fit now!
I even slit the rubber to see if that made any difference but sadly not.
I picked up a trick on a facebook group the other day, someone mentioned about using 2 trolley jacks and jacking it up into the hole. So I'm going to have a go at that for my 3rd attempt.
Ordered a few bits mainly manifold and exhaust so at least I've got everything to try and start it now as well.

My fuel filler neck is very tight on clubby estate but havent had that out yet so not sure why its like that... had to slit the rubber to get it to fit half way well...
Looking forward to another update :)

Mine was a complete barstardo to get in. Something I picked up when I was researching the easiest way to replace my windscreen seal was KY jelly. It certainly helped with the windscreen and as there's no petroleum products in it it doesn't 'melt' the rubber.
