Wow P-B that's about as dedicated as I've been with the van. Thanks for taking the time to follow my journey, it's had it's ups and downs I'm not going to lie!

 

Definitely will be at a show near you next year.

The misses has gone out with the girls tonight so thought I'd do some work on the van instead of getting drunk.

Started to paint the steering cowl. Ran out of spray paint though.


Had a reaction though so it'll need rubbing down again.


Drilled and bolted the harness bar in.

Wound the hi lows out on the back. Three turns is too high for me though, needs to be one and a half i think.

Monday's antics....

 

Popped the pedals back in so thought why not the seat as well. Must admit I did sit and make brum brum noises! 

 

 

 

 

Actually quite like the fabric/vinyl colour the seats are at the moment.

 

Went to put the tank back in and heard this rattling which didn't seem right. Took the fuel sender out and found that the float had come off the end. New one of those then.

 

Put a few more bits on the engine.

 

Now just a process of saving up for the next minispares order.

Nice one :) and would be rude to have not made brum brum noises cant wait until i can do that with my mk1 :) think if i sat in it now i would fall through, in fact just leaning on the seat makes rust fall out the bottom.... haha

 

Cant wait to see this van done :) i agree with the seat quite like the check effect goes well with the yellow :)

Nope not yet want to get it moved to my workshop/garage, having massive problems with where my sidewalk and mk1 are kept at the minute its doing my head in so need to clear some space on my garage to squeeze two more minis in.... sidewalk is being done and sold... well thats the plan.

Plus I need to buy a new laptop so its easier to do the pics than on an ipad haha
