I'm sure it'll be worth the wait!

MAJOR MELTDOWN THIS MORNING!!!!

 

Got a voicemail from my painter sounding rather frustrated saying that we have a major F**KING ISSUE! Ow god I thought. Gave him a ring back to find out that yet again the drivers door wont fit and that he thought the A-panel was on wrong and that it would need to come off again and be re aligned. PANIC set in, as I thought the door fitted when I took it over 'tight' but it fitted.... This would prove to be something I could ill afford and he had time to sort out... I then spent the nest 20 minutes whiles driving to work swearing out loud and trying to rack my brain as to why. People next to me in their cars must have thought I was mad. 

 

Could it be the hinges, could it be the inner A-panel, could it be the outer A-panel, how could it not fit now after a few mm's of paint!!!! 

 

I gave him a call back once I'd had time to think. Would he be able to thin out the metal over lap on the A panel enough to give a few extra mm's to get the gap. Thankfully panic over as he had already thought about it by the time I call back. However, he didn't want to touch the A-panel so managed to gain a few mills from the door frame where it meets the side panel. 

 

Panic over..... for now.

D-Days increasingly likely to be Saturday afternoon or Sunday depending on where I can get a trailer from.

I'd be there everyday if it where up to me. But I want to wait until its ready and see it for the first time in 3 weeks!!! 

 

Body should be yellow today and the roofs going gloss black tomorrow!!!
