So just got a call from my painter funnily enough. He had to cut short his holiday in Scotland as his camper van was playing up. This meant that he could get on with the van though. While he was away the bodywork guy got the shell sorted out. He ended up having to take it back to bare metal as the etch primer had water ingress and was rusting underneath, he also had to do some welding on the floor as he felt that it wasn't quite strong enough. Ronnie has now re etched the shell and applied 6 coats of 2-pack primer inside and out, they plan to leave it till Friday then make a start rubbing it down. Ronnie thinks he will be able to lay the top coat on early next week!!!! Massive!!!!
They have also been taking picture throughout the process for me....
I do have the feeling this is going to cost me more though but hey-ho your a long time dead.

Really need to get on and sort the wiring out now though.

Got a call this morning to confirm what I need painting inside from Ronnie. I've gone for the whole inside to be painted to get rid of the blue so foot wells, seat floor, bulkhead, headlining and rear roof. It doesn't need to be as higher quality as the outside as most of it will be covered in carpet anyway but it will just look neater I think. Although it has meant that he has had to go and get more paint!
Reluctantly I've tried to stay away from going over there and just kept in touch over the phone. Part of me wants to be there over seeing it, but I realise I need to just let him get on with it. It does make it more exciting though and I cannot wait to see what it looks like when I go to pick it up! Just hope I like the bloody colour....
