Just took the rear hinges off and yes I'd got them on the wrong way round....

Took the grinder to my nice new bonnet yesterday one side done but still the other side to go as it was a right faff without any magnet panel holders.

Moment of truth, I had to take a sharp intake of breath before making the cut!

Closed the gap.

Welded up.

Ground back, it needs a skim of filler just to level off.

The wing to scuttle gap could be better but it'll do for me.

No the doors are getting on my t*ts at the moment! haha

Looks like I might have to re skin the drivers door again. the frame is sitting to low and I cannot alter it as I've already bent the lip round the bottom. If I cannot alter it I might just cut it off and start again with a genuine skin. Extra expense I didn't really want to make.

The rear doors aren't to bad with the seals in but I forgot to order the clips so their only gaffer typed on at the moment.

They sit a bit proud of the door frame but I think that's more due to the rubbers being new hopefully they will settle in time.

I'm going to try and get the doors to fit as best I can over the next few weekends then take it to my guy to be painted around Easter weekend.

I might see if he can do the final fit for me when there painted.

2 weekends left to go until then. I should get the other side of the bonnet finished this weekend then it'll give me 2 weeks to ******* around with the door alignment.

I'm aiming to have it painted and back in time for my 31st on the 11th April....!
