Yes - it does need a wiggle to get it into place fully. Be gentle - make sure you line up the "tongue" on the end of the dizzy with the "groove" on the drive :gimme:

Cheers MrBounce I shall try and give it a wiggle next time then.

I thought it would just slot in... as the matron said to the vicar!

Stick a rotor arm on it, and move that around until the dizzy spindle engages.

You can then ram it home (ooh err Vicar)

Well the good news is that I've found a painter that's a bit closer to home and only a few miles away. Met up with the chap yesterday over at the garage and he was suitably impressed with what I'd done so far. He seems really enthusiastic and really excited at being able to paint a van. We had a good long chat about what I wanted and he even gave me a few tips on fitting the doors. Although he did say get it the best I can and he will do the rest. He also said that I'd got it to a stage where it is a really good base for him to work from.

I've still got to get the front and rear doors to line up and sort out the bonnet gaps out.

But it's looking hopeful that If I can get it ready for the beginning of March and take it over to him it could be painted by the middle of that month.

Just need to save some money now.

Good news!

Have you told him you are paying him in tea yet?
